Scholarships and prices
Is the scholarship guaranteed?
No. The scholarship shown is what the university has published for the programme. It is confirmed only by your admission letter, and no one — including JodaEdu — can guarantee it.
What does "tuition after scholarship" mean?
It is what you pay for tuition once the university's reduction is applied. The list price is shown struck through beside it.
A fee says "not stated". Does that mean it is free?
No. It means the university has not told us the amount. Ask us before you budget, and never assume a blank is zero.
Can the price change after I apply?
The price shown when you send an application is recorded on it. If the university changes it for your intake, we tell you before asking you to pay anything different, and you may withdraw.
Applying
How many programmes can I apply to?
Several at once, but only one live application per programme.
Can I stop halfway and come back later?
Yes. Your application is kept as a draft in your account and opens at the step you left.
Do I need the CSCA exam?
From 2026 every undergraduate applicant to a CSC university must sit it. Master's, doctoral, non-degree and Chinese-language applicants do not. See our CSCA exam page.
Who decides whether I am admitted?
The university alone. We make sure your application is complete and on time.
Documents
Do I have to upload my passport for every application?
No. Upload it once to your document vault and attach it to each application with one click.
What does "notarised" mean, and how long does it take?
A notarised copy is certified by a notary. It usually takes several weeks, which is why programme pages list the slowest documents first — start with those.
Who can see my documents?
You, and the JodaEdu staff handling your application. The university receives the documents attached to an application you send to it. Nothing is ever published.
Payments and refunds
How do I pay?
By the method and to the account details shown in your account, quoting your payment reference. Then upload your receipt. We never ask for payment by chat, by phone or to a personal account.
When is my payment confirmed?
Once we have checked your receipt against the money received. Your account shows the payment as verified.
Is the application fee refundable?
Each fee says before you pay whether it can be refunded. A fee marked non-refundable — often the university's application or registration fee — is not returned, whatever the outcome.
Somebody contacted me on WeChat asking me to pay. Is that you?
No. We only ask for payment inside your JodaEdu account. Do not pay, and tell us through your account.
Your account and privacy
Can I stop the emails?
Yes — each kind of email can be switched off on your account page. Everything they tell you also appears in your account.
How do I delete my account?
Close it from your account page. Your profile and documents are deleted; a record of any application you sent is kept without your name, as our privacy notice explains.
Visa and arrival
Do you get my visa for me?
No. The Chinese embassy or consulate decides your visa. We send you the original admission letter and JW202 form that the application needs.
How do I receive my admission letter?
We post the original to the address you choose in your account and show you the tracking number.
